Pershing has also arranged for additional insurance protection for cash and securities in excess of SIPC limits from Lloyd’s of London, in conjunction with other insurers*. This additional protection covers an aggregate loss limit of $1 billion for eligible securities across all client accounts and a per-client loss limit of $1.9 million for cash awaiting reinvestment – within the aggregate loss limit of $1 billion. Neither coverage protects against a decline in the market value of securities.
